9 Types of Misrepresentation
This post is inspired by the latest A.I. photo editing app trend. First of all, our pix are 🔥😍🔥😍🔥😍!!! However, I understand that some possess some more or less founded concerns about the potential spirits at work behind these apps.
My personal conviction was just use them, and then pray over my images. After creating the images, I then felt led to post a prayer that anyone else may pray as they feel led. (See below.)
Father in the Name of Jesus,
I thank You that in this ever-changing world of apps, technology, artificial intelligence, and the metaverse, my image is protected.
I do not permit cat-fishers to use my image.
I do not permit scammers to use my image.
I do not permit demonic entities to use my image—online or in the realm of the spirit.
I strike down EVERY spirit of misrepresentation and impersonation that is working against me! I strike down ALL doppelgängers and mimickers that try to target me! I destroy by fire every dream criminal and demonic imagination that tries to use and pervert my image for nefarious purposes against others and me in the name of Jesus!
My image, my name, and both my online and offline reputations are protected from demonic schemes and agendas in the name of Jesus!
My personal and professional accounts and apps are divinely protected from hackers, mimickers, and thieves in the name of Jesus!
Even after my time is done on this earth, my image is protected by the blood of Jesus!
May I always remain in unison with the Spirit of Truth, and may He always defend me against any attempts to misrepresent me, accuse me, or deceive others through my image and my name, in the name of Jesus. AMEN! 🔥⚔️
However, the prayer wound up being more in-depth than I initially anticipated (surprise, surprise) and it turned my mind back to the subject of spirits of misrepresentation and how they can operate. So with that in mind, here are some types of misrepresenting spirits. Please note that this list will include how people can misrepresent as well as how people can be misrepresented.
COMMUNICATION
A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends. — Proverbs 16:28 NLT
He who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets,
Therefore do not associate with a gossip.

“Wrongdoers eagerly listen to gossip; liars pay close attention to slander.” — Proverbs 17:4 NLT
The first and most common category of misrepresentation comes from our MOUTH. Proverbs 18:21 tells us life and death is in the power of the tongue. Certainly the power of proper representation and misrepresentation is in our mouths as well. James 31-12 speaks of the danger and incongruency that can spawn from our tongue. We can most certainly light forest fires and steer ships in the wrong direction with the power of our tongue. Many a reputation has been irreparably destroyed by the power of the tongue.
1. GOSSIPERS.
And besides they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not. — I Timothy 5:13 NKJV
“A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.” — Proverbs 16:28 NIV
As surely as a north wind brings rain, so a gossiping tongue causes anger! — Proverbs 25:23 NLT
Gossip is probably the most common method of misrepresentation. These people may just be nosy (innocent at heart), attention-seekers (rejected? people-pleasers?), or downright malicious. Merriam-Webster defines a gossip as a person who habitually reveals personal or sensational facts about others. To listen to gossip is to be in agreement with the (potential) misrepresentation and to set yourself up to dispense it yourself. And yes, it is a type of spirit of witchcraft.

2. SLANDERERS.
A perverse person spreads strife,
And a slanderer separates close friends.

While they take counsel together against me,

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor,
Him I will destroy…

“Let not a slanderer be established in the earth;
Let evil hunt the violent man to overthrow him.”
— Psalms 140:11 NKJV
To slander someone is to intentionally share or circulate negative or false information about someone. Whereas a gossiper may be innocent in terms of their heart posture, they may be a kind and generous person, just a Nosy Nellie, slanderers possess an evil intention to harm someone through their slander campaign.
A gossip may be the accidental informant of a slanderer. Another way of saying this is a gossip may be a non-malicious monitoring spirit who innocently informs a malicious monitoring spirit.

Jezebel intentionally lied on Naboth to misrepresent him to the greatest degree. Her slander campaign with the Sons of Belial caused a man to lose his life and his inheritance to be given to another—her husband (1 Kings 21:1-16). No one slanders, assassinates character, or bears false witness on accident. Slander is an intentional method of destruction borne of the spirit of witchcraft (manipulation, intimidation, or domination).
COPYCATS
Live up to your potential instead of imitating someone else’s. — Martha Burgess
The next, more obvious category of misrepresentation we’ll deal with is pertaining to Al Gore’s internet. Email, social media, dating sites…they exist with agendas (some clearer than others) and may or may not be malicious in their endeavors. Popular motivations include romance and monetary gain.
3. CAT-FISHERS.
“Cat fish?”
“A cat fish is a person who pretends to be someone they're not online, especially in romantic relationships. … Someone took your pictures and created an online profile for you and put it on a singles site. Two women who fell for the catfish-you are missing.” — Missing You x Harlan Coben
A catfish may not be malicious, yet the end result could be devastating. This is a common occurrence on social media and dating apps in particular. A real person may hide behind another, more attractive person’s picture in order to get a woman he considers out of his league to give him the time of day. They may be impersonating a real person or simply using a real person’s image paired with their authentic personality. It just depends. And while this is not right, is definitely deceitful, and can cause harm, it is not often done from a malicious heart. Both the catfisher and the catfished may be embarrassed, humiliated, or heartbroken when all’s said and done. In a lesser context, a catfisher may hide behind their carefully crafted online persona while in an evil context, a catfish may be hunting women to attack.
I want to be clear that women ABSOLUTELY do this too. Catfishing is not restricted to a particular gender.
4. SCAMMERS.
And why is it that I keep coming across these whiffs of gossip about how my self-support was a front behind which I worked an elaborate scam? Where’s the evidence? Did I cheat or trick you through anyone I sent? I asked Titus to visit, and sent some brothers along. Did they swindle you out of anything? And haven’t we always been just as aboveboard, just as honest? — 2 Corinthians 12:16-18 MSG
While a catfish may not be evil (as opposed to insecure, etc.), a scammer has an intent to steal, if not harm. Most “minfluencers” have foreign scammers impersonating them, adding people, messaging people, and stealing money in the name of legitimate ministers, entrepreneurs, etc. It’s dishonest, it’s theft, and it’s wrong!!!
And because many (older) people are not as internet/social media savvy as they *think* they are, they get caught up, put their trust in these liars, and start sending money for non-existent orphanages. And then these same scammed people will get angry at the real minister, AND THEN get offended when someone with sense and savviness points out that people with full itinerate schedules and THOUSANDS of followers DO NOT have time nor interest in friending and messaging random people. 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
Please, people, unless you have seen actual evidence of this particular minfluencer giving to or establishing an orphanage, DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!! And while you should inform the minfluencers when someone is impersonating them, you do not get to have an attitude and go off on them because YOU made a mistake.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
We’re staying in the vein of the internet and delving now into Artificial Intelligence (A.I.). While this concept may seem similar to that of a mere catfisher, it is much more in-depeth and complex.
5. AVATARS.
“Avatar” is a Sanskrit word meaning a “descent.” In general, it can refer to a new, unexpected, or revolutionary person or event. Specifically, it has been used to refer to the appearance of a deity on earth, whether in human form or as an apparition. (Yoga International)
Whether through video games, social media (e.g. The Metaverse), or any other type of virtual reality, avatars can be used for good or evil.
CATFISHERS
People can use avatars online to live out an existence they may not have the courage or ability to live out in their offline life. This could be about their popularity, personality, or sexuality, etc. There is an episode on Netflix’s Black Mirror where two male best friends began using a martial arts video game…and began an affair specifically through their avatars. So in essence, two presenting-as-heterosexual men were engaging in homosexual emotions in the bodies of heterosexual (one male, one female) avatars. Whether it’s a matter of sexuality, creativity, or something else, the idea here seems to be that some find freedom online that they cannot seem to find or live out offline.
FAMILIAR SPIRITS
Spirits can also use avatars in order to deceive the humans interacting with “them.” You might think you’re talking with a particular person, but it could be a false person (catfish, scammer) based on an image, an ideal, or literal demonic spirit. The person being used as the avatar may be real or artificial, alive or dead.
In fact, it’s already been revealed that avatars will be used to assist with helping loved ones with dead family members find peace. They had a full episode about this on Black Mirror as well. What started off as an avatar that “learned” how to communicate based on a dead man’s social media and internet presence became the mind of a robot very literally imitating the dead man in artificial “flesh.” This is an extremely dangerous and demonic space to lean into. Demons—disembodied spirits—will be drawn to wherever there is a body.”
THE ORIGINAL AVATARS
It is worth noting that the origin of avatars is religious. Before the internet and social media was created, they existed and held a specific spiritual significance.
In Hinduism, the incarnation of a deity in human or animal form to counteract an evil in the world. It usually refers to 10 appearances of Vishnu, including an incarnation as the Buddha Gautama and Kalkin (the incarnation yet to come). The doctrine appears in the Bhagavadgita in the words of Lord Krishna to Arjuna: “Whenever there is a decline of righteousness and rise of unrighteousness then I send forth Myself.” (Britannica)
While I will not say the use of avatars on the internet is inherently evil, the fact is that the spiritual origin of them is very dark indeed.
SEXUALITY
“casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5-6 KJV
While this category can certainly be and often is infused in some of the previous categories, now we are squarely in the territory of sexual fantasy and intercourse.
6. MEMORIES.
“I will set no wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of those who turn aside; it shall not have part of me.” — Psalms 101:3 MEV
Whether due to past sexual encounters (in or out of marriage) or exposure to pornography, a person may fantasize using someone’s image while they are pleasuring themselves or even having sex with their current partner. The person may have moved on or never known you existed, but you are thinking about them and violating them in the realm of the imagination and even the realm of the spirit because of memories and new imaginations based on those past memories. Soul-ties are formed through these perverse fantasies.
7. CONJURED.
“I have made a covenant with my eyes;
Why then should I look upon a young woman?”
— Job 31:1 NKJV
In the same vein as remembering past sexual encounters or pornographic images, a person may also develop lust for someone they have never seen offline or never experienced in a sexual encounter, and still allow their imagination to run wild. Some of you may have heard me reference the times I have had dreams that particular men who developed a crush or even obsession with me have been in my dreams trying to sneak into my bedroom, put their hands on me, or even attempt to rape me! This is NOT a coincidence! These men struggle with lust and sexual fantasies starring a perverse representation of ME! It’s disgusting!!! And one of these is a man I have NEVER seen in the flesh and the other is a married man who OF COURSE I have ZERO connection to sexually. *insert vomits here* I DO NOT have an OnlyFans page. I AM NOT a porn star. I DO NOT have lewd or suggestive pictures of me floating around Al Gore’s internet. It’s literally all in their head.
The idea that someone could conjure perverse imaginations of you against your will and choose to violate you is DEEPLY DISTURBING and DEEPLY DEMONIC.
DREAM REALM
Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’” — Matthew 13:24-28 NKJV
The realm of imagination is a bridge to the supernatural realm. The dream realm is similar. Except while imaginations can be shaped by spirits and ricochet through the spirit realm, dreams *can* actually be IN the spirit realm. AND they, of course, can be shaped by the soulish and physical realms as well.
8. MASQUERADES.
Masquerade!

A common method of witches and evil spirits is to masquerade in your dreams. Just as at a masquerade ball, you probably can’t tell who is truly behind the mask and if you get good and drunk, you may find yourself engaging in activities with masked strangers you likely would not have engaged in if the masks were off and you weren’t under the influence. It’s very similar in your dreams. There are multiple types of masquerading spirits, but here are a few of the most common.
WITCHES
Witches don’t just astral-project in the waking realm, possess familiars, and remotely view people. They don’t even just project thoughts and images against your mind and into your dreams. They can project into your dreams as well. For instance, if you see a lot of negativity in your life and you are eating and drinking in your dreams, it’s a witch who is feeding you. I’m not speaking abstractly, but literally. They and the food/drink they offer you is masked. They may appear like a friend or a kindly stranger, but they are evil. The food may seem delectable and the drink irresistible, but it’s a witch’s communion; an initiation; a covenant rite.
SPIRIT-SPOUSES
Unclean spirits can do this as well. Spirit-spouses are some of the most common masquerading entities in dreams. They can appear as the (wo)man of your dreams. They can appear as your ex. They can appear as your crush. They can appear as your favourite celebrity. They can appear as an intriguing stranger. They can even appear as your current human spouse. The idea is to take on an attractive and or familiar form so you trust it and engage with it.
FAMILIAR SPIRITS
Probably the only spirit more common at masquerading in dreams than spirit-spouses are familiar spirits. Now, I understand that MANY categories of spirits come under this category—including spirit-husbands (incubi) and spirit-wives (succubi)—we very often associate familiar spirits with our dearly departed dead. They don’t just visit you in your waking time, they can visit you in your dreams as well. They can also get you to eat or drink food with potentially deadly consequences. They can give you information. They can give you instruction. And if you entertain them long enough, they can seduce you into death…you may never wake up if you go with them in your dreams. You thought it was your grandmother. Your husband. Your child. But it may be that your dead loved one saw a familiar spirit masquerading as someone they loved that seduced them into death. And now it’s happening to you.
Just like the Parable referenced in the introduction of this section, the purpose of dream masquerades is to sow evil seeds while you are sleeping. Sleep in a New Testament context often represents a lack of awareness or ignorance. Men sleep when it is night: there is no sun and the lights are all out or at least very dim. It can represent spiritual apathy as well. And then if you wake up and merely say, “Oh, that was such a strange dream!” yet do nothing to counteract the evil farming of the enemy against your life and your generations, then the demonic agendas are permitted to prosper. God help us.
SPIRIT REALM
We are now finally and officially focusing on the spirit realm. There are absolutely spirits of misrepresentation. They come in many forms. Some of you are familiar with the fact that my deliverance journey includes contending with and being delivered from one in the form of a doppelgänger. These spirits can be placed in charge of your misrepresentation as far as certain technologies such as odors, veils/cloaks, and gossip being employed or even being the spirit that impersonates you.
9. MISREPRESENTERS.
“I see a woman. She’s standing in the water. She is your complexion and she has long hair like you. She’s a water goddess and she’s been misrepresenting you your entire life!”
You could imagine my extreme shock, indignation, awe(-inspired terror), and shock again hearing these words in my second deliverance session last year. My mental knee-jerk reaction: “It would take a goddess to impersonate me! LOL” This is for sure fascinating, but TERRIFYING. That one spirit could be responsible for so much devastation in one life boggles the mind. I had a doppelgänger!! Good God!! Well, I was always one for dramatics… *insert heavy sigh here*
In addition to the doppelgänger, veils and cloaks, evil masks, and demonic fragrances were all misrepresenting technologies used against me. Primarily in the area of marriage (romantic relationships, situationships, almostships…), but also in the areas of friendships, “human resources,” ministry, business, and so on.
Misrepresentation has caused so much disappointment and heartbreak in my life! One of the ways it specifically works is through evil communication: gossip, slander, character assassination, and bearing false witness. It gives undiscerning people (in general or in the moment) a false representation of you so they will either not connect with you [as they should] or distance themself from you, if not cut you off. Spirits of misrepresentation often target destiny-relationships. They are destiny-destroyers who thwart destiny-helpers from connecting to and assisting you as they should.
If a spirit of misrepresentation is working against you, it could cause:
Someone innocent to appear as someone guilty.
A chaste person to appear seductive.
A warm, kind person to appear rude and stuck up.
A hidden person to look like a failure.
A person called to high places to be barred from entry.
A gold-mine to look like fool’s gold.
A wife to look like a girlfriend.
Rachel to be mistaken for Leah.
A destiny-helper to look like a destiny-destroyer.
Even more plainly, spirits of misrepresentation can cause:
Evil impersonations. (Bad PR.)
Evil odors. (Wrong fragrance.)
Evil veils. (Obscures vision.)
Evil cloaks. (Causes you to be hidden.)
Evil tethers. (Tethers you to wrong outcomes.)
And oftentimes, these spirits work in conjunction with other spirits to frustrate the various aspects of your life and ultimately thwart [areas of] your destiny. They are EVIL, EVIL, EVIL.
If people often dislike you for no reason; if people often end relationships with you over misunderstandings, molehills, and lies; then you may very well be a victim of misrepresentation.
Misrepresentation comes in MANY forms and covers MULTIPLE bases. It can operate specifically through a human spirit or unclean spirit. It can be intentionally or unintentionally done. It can be harmlessly intended at first and become something nefarious in the end. It can be social, sexual, spiritual, or a combination. It can be fueled by the spirit of witchcraft or literal witchcraft.
If you are experiencing ANY of these types of misrepresentation in an alarming or frequent fashion, then WARFARE and possibly deliverance is necessary. A human may be innocent, but the spirit using them is NOT. You MUST pray to thwart the spirits that are seeking to thwart you. Destroy them by fire and by force, in Jesus’ name!
