Exploring Jezebel’s Family Tree: Sister Religion

This family tree of Jezebel keeps getting worse and worse with every branch we uncover. First, there was Baal and Asherah whom we discussed in three parts (Part IPart II & Part III). (Asherah a.k.a. the Queen of Heaven even has a holiday in our modern times.) Then we discussed her three personalities: DelilahHerod, and Absalom. Then we started discussing her siblings Perversion and AntiChrist, twin brothers, and in this post, we’ll discuss her final sibling, Religion.

Does the Cross Offend You?

The only thing about Christ’s bloodshed and death that should offend you is the fact that you--just like I--put Him there. Just like Mel Gibson made it a point to hold the nails that were hammered into Christ’s flesh in the film, so we also held the nails and hammered them in. Maybe not literally, but it was our sin that put Him there. Perhaps we are offended at the thought of the Cross because we know we should have been there instead.

Generational Curses in the Church, Part I

Last night, I was scrolling through a Christian debate group on I belong to on Facebook when I stumbled across a clip someone shared featuring Pastor Dharius Daniels. I was BLOWN AWAY!!! Generally speaking, I’ve heard and now seen that the man is a BEAST! This clip absolutely proved it. He walks us through the generational “habit” of lying in the family of Abraham reaching the fourth generation, Jacob’s sons (minus Joseph and Benjamin). He mentioned how we so readily focus on generational curses in families, but rarely do we look at this same concept in the context of churches. My Lord! And it’s the truth! Generational curses in the Church are a very real problem, but as Jesus said, the truth shall set you free! Let’s dig in.

Exploring Jezebel’s Family Tree: Brother Perversion

Now that we’ve dealt with Jezebel’s parentsBaal and the Queen of Heaven, and met her three personalities, DelilahHerod, and Absalom, we shall now deal with her two older siblings, starting with Perversion. Perversion is the eldest child born of Baal and Asherah (the Queen of Heaven, also known as Ashtoreth, Astarte, Ishtar, Isis, the Triple/Mother Goddess, etc.). But to understand this spirit, we must first understand his natural expression, Tammuz.

Socially Acceptable Psychic Witchcraft and How It Works

Two nights ago, I was sitting watching an episode of Bones. I’m aware of the show, but don’t think I’ve ever actually watched it before in all the years it’s been airing. It was time to eat some dinner and there was nothing new on my Hulu queue so I figured why the heck not? Some things we aren’t surprised at anymore. When living in such a world, it’s easy to become desensitized to certain things. But sometimes, we get so shocked we just have to scream! Even though no one’s there to listen. That is what happened when I watched Bones

Exploring Jezebel’s Family Tree: Jezebel and Absalom

We’ve met Baal and Asherah (the Queen of Heaven), the “parents” of Jezebel. And we’ve met two of Jezebels’ personalities, Delilah and Herod. And now, we will meet this demonic prince’s third, most closely associated personality: Absalom. When blogging about how I fell prey to Jezebel and even in my last post, I shared with you that Jezebel is not born, she’s made. Looking into the story of Absalom gives us a very good idea of just that.

The Day I Got Punished for Not Wanting a Lesbian Roommate

In high school, I was a HUGE choir nerd and proud of it! And we were actually pretty darn good back in our day. So good, in fact, that Grammy award-winning composer, Eric Whitacre, was adjudicating one of our performances at the Chapman [University] Music Competition, and when it came time for him to give his remarks, he invited us to be part of his opera chorus--in Berlin, Germany! We went on many such trips, mostly stateside, in California and nearby areas, but on one such trip, my Freshman year, our destination was San Francisco.

St. Patrick’s Day Book Giveaway!!!

I don’t know what it is about March and the advent of St. Patrick’s Day that puts me in the mood to do a giveaway, but hey, who can turn it down? *smile* Perhaps it’s the sun starting to make more of an appearance or it might be the rainy weather that while, annoying at times, can make all the earth green (unless you’re in North Carolina like me and in which case, the cold rain causes warnings of black ice!), or very possibly it’s because I get SUPER DE DUPER excited about St. Patty’s Day every year because it’s the one day in the American calendar dedicated to a fellow Irish (British really) man. (I’m a quarter-Irish through my late paternal grandmother!) But either way, I’m very excited to be offering a book giveaway this holiday!

Purim: Suffering the Sins of the Father

On this the Feast of Purim, we remember the mighty deliverance of Jehovah against the enemies of Israel in the Medo-Persian Empire during the reign of Ahasuerus/Xerxes I (485–464 b.c.). We remember how Haman, the lead prince (advisor) of the king, schemed because of his hatred of Mordecai the Jew who sat in the king’s gates, to kill not just him, but ALL of the Jewish people throughout the ENTIRE empire. You may read the account here.
