15 Unpopular Truths about Halloween

By now, between my first, second, and third posts about Halloween as well as a guest post by my friend Jennifer LeClaire, you have more than enough biblical reasoning on why to NOT celebrate Halloween. So with that in mind, here are 1o concise truths about Halloween that should bring it home to you. Enjoy & Happy Reformation Day!

When you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. (Deuteronomy 18:9-11)

The Celtic, "Great Horned God" is here pictured; a Celtic derivative of Baal.

  1. Halloween is one of Satan’s high holy days, if not the highest.

  2. Halloween is a pagan holiday called “Samhain” stemming from the Celtic Druid religion which encompasses Baal and the Queen of Heaven worship strictly forbidden in Scripture.

  3. Samhain is viewed by the Druids (and similar pagans) as the “time between the times” where the veil between the world of the living and the dead was at its thinnest. The dead spirits are believed to pass into our world on this night.

  4. Samhain promotes the interaction with dead people which the Bible strictly forbids.

  5. The Celtic peoples were coerced into appeasing the potentially malevolent spirits walking the earth at this time with food and other “treats.”

  6. When this trick-or-treating transitioned to the U.S., the adults started to give out treats to the children instead of the spirits for the same reasons.

  7. Halloween also encompasses the Roman Festival of Pomona, one of the many pantheons of Greco-Roman gods.

  8. Samhain was adopted by the Catholic Church in a syncretic, compromising, seeker-friendly way to make the pagan converts happy by allowing them to have their cake and eat it too.

  9. The Catholic Church created All Hallows’ Day as a way to combine and counteract the evil they KNEW was done on the night before in pagan rituals.

  10. All Hallow’s Day is an unbiblical, man-made practice produced by the Catholic Church to worship, revere, and pray to their saints which is idolatrous as Jesus the Christ is our only Intercessor and Answerer to our prayers. Dead saints can do NOTHING for us. They’re dead.

  11. All Hallows’ Day is proceeded by All Souls’ Day which prays for the non-sainted souls of the dearly departed in the unbiblical Catholic-creation of Purgatory which fueled the sale of indulgences that for the purpose of a manipulative building proceeded over by greedy (Medici) popes.

  12. All Souls’ Day is a Catholic holiday that encourages the ignorant masses to pray for their loved ones--after they’re dead--to try and spring them from Purgatory into Heaven, even though Purgatory is non-existent and nowhere to be found in the Scripture.

  13. The Bible strictly forbids witchcraft and Occultic practices, rituals, and observances in all of its forms in the Old and New Testament.

  14. Neo-pagans, Wiccans, Satanists, and other Occultic branches all worship their demonic deities just as fervently today as they did 4,000 years ago.

  15. The Bible commands us to separate ourselves from the world even though we live in the world.

Modern-day Druids (pagans/neo-pagans) gathering to worship their fallen gods on this "time between times."

The Bible does NOT say, “‘Come out from among them and be ye separate,’ saith the Lord, “EXCEPT on Halloween.’”

Let’s get real folks. Halloween is the one day Christians with an almost united front join together in the celebration of a Satanic, demonic, pagan holiday because they think it’s fun and cute.

Newsflash: Jesus does NOT agree! If He condemned Pagan occurrences in the Old Testament and the New Testament, then it is EXACTLY the same for us 2,000 years later.

Halloween is demonic.

Halloween is manipulation (witchcraft).

Halloween is an accepted seeker-friendly ritual by those who call themselves Christians.

God may wink at our ignorance for a while, but when you know and still choose to sin, you are in full on rebellion--the equivalent of witchcraft.

Remember that the next time you dress your kids up for Halloween.

Happy Reformation Day!!
