At the time of my writing this, a young white man named Dylann Roof just recently walked into a black church in Charleston, South Carolina--Emanuel AME Church--was welcomed into their fold, and one hour later, sprayed them, killing nine.

During the life of Moses, Pharaoh put out a mandate against the Israelite children ordering all Egyptians to kill every male child in Goshen. Fast forward to the birth of Jesus where we see this mandate repeated by Herod the Great in Bethlehem. This was a terrible time in history and one would think that with all of our advanced intelligence and shunning of barbaric behaviors we would no longer allow the massacre of innocent children. Not so. There is a new mandate against your children and this Pharaoh goes by the name of Planned Parenthood.
“I could hear bells of freedom ringing as I read every page.” That is how Pastor Ron Phillips, senior pastor of Abba House, described Jennifer LeClaire’s brand new book, Satan's Deadly Trio: Defeating the Deceptions of Jezebel, Religion and Witchcraft. You may be familiar with Jennifer’s other “Jezebel book,” The Spiritual Warrior's Guide to Defeating Jezebel which is truly phenomenal, but this project, with a foreword by Apostle John Eckhardt, will enable you to take your spiritual discernment to another dimension!
Defeating Jezebel confirmed some things I already knew, connected some things I had not been previously able to, articulated some things I knew, yet could not express, and yes, taught me things I never knew before about this crafty spirit. I’m convinced most people don’t really understand the depth, layers, levels, intricacy, power, and meditated end of this spirit. Jennifer articulates Defeating Jezebel with wonderful prophetic accuracy and divine revelation.
In Part I of my Preacher’s of L.A.’s Episode Two commentary, we addressed the concept of godly confrontation from a biblical standpoint. My summation was the Bishop Ron and First Lady LaVette Gibson did attempt to employ Jesus’ method of conflict resolution, yet were hampered by the lack of accountability and honesty identified in Bishop Noel Jones and Loretta Jones’ relationship. In this piece, we’ll dig a little deeper into the volatile dinner date and further expound on godly confrontation.
Wooh! Can you feel the heat in the room? Can you cut the tension in the air with a knife after watching this week’s episode of Preachers of L.A., “Truth Be Told”? The confrontation that defined this episode transpired between Bishop Ron Gibson and his wife, LaVette, and Bishop Noel Jones and his “friend,” Loretta.
Dear Producers of Preachers L.A.,
We need to talk. Seriously. First let me say, I AM a fan of the show. I watch avidly and will be conducting a written commentary (NOT a gossip column!) on this season for GospelToday.com for the sake of starting a positive, much-needed dialogue, so stay tuned if you so choose. And while I would not go so far to say that Preachers of L.A. is a “God idea,” it’s certainly a good idea. All this to say, again, I like the show. And I am in your ballpark, really.
Throughout this letter, I will present various points that I feel need to be addressed (as I’m sure many others do as well). Commencing with the Drama King himself, Deitrick Haddon.
Preachers of L.A. is back for Season Two and is already full of action! We’re sharing with you about Episode One: “Judge Not.” In Season One, Gospel singer, Deitrick Haddon, was recovering from his recent divorce, the birth of his first child–out of wedlock, and a speedy engagement. All which had suspect timing and, understandably, tarnished his position as a Christian minister. Midway through the season, he embarked on a secret wedding to his now wife, Dominique. But what they did not reveal until after the public wedding in the season finale was that they were already expecting Baby #2!
This naturally put Pastor Jay Haizlip, the last-minute wedding officiant for the public wedding, in an extremely awkward position which he lovingly confronted Deitrick about in this first episode. Drama ensued.
