Demonic Exchange, Divine Reversal

Demonic Exchange, Divine Reversal

Demonic Exchange Divine Reversal_Post.png

In my deliverance journey, I have come to learn of something called demonic exchange. A demonic exchange is when the plan of God for someone’s life, good and godly things, is directly hijacked by the power of darkness in order to grant the favour, success, notoriety, glory, influence, settlement, wealth, etc. ordained for one person to another. In essence, your destiny is stolen and buried, kept from you, to frustrate you, keep you in cycles, rob you of hope, and keep you from living in and accomplishing the plan of God for your life.

BREAKING DOWN DEMONIC EXCHANGES

Demonic exchange can happen in various ways for various reasons. A person may be jealous of you. A person may desire what you have. A person may want to exchange their sorrows with your pleasures. A person may want to keep you from being married. A person may want to keep you from having children. A person may want to keep you from a certain career. A person may want to be wealthy in place of you. A person may just hate you.

A person may unleash gossip and slander against you to steal/thwart a relationship or opportunity. A person may seduce the person you are in a relationship with. A person may tamper with the food and drink at a party to unduly influence you or take from you. A person may hire a witch doctor against your person or your bloodline. A person may raise an altar to destroy your marriageability or financial stability. A person may even arrange for your person or your destiny to be switched at birth.

And the person I speak of may be a natural person or a literal spirit. A human being may initiate the switch with the help of demonic powers. A strongman or principality may ordain the switch and influence a human to activate it. Never forget that both Heaven AND Hell have a plan for your life. And to live on this earth is to be in the midst of a cosmic game of tug of war.

WAS *MY* DESTINY DEMONICALLY EXCHANGED?

How I stumbled upon this concept was through a sermon by Apostle Raphael Grant. I was put on to his ministry by my dear brother and deliverance minister, Prophet Abednego Lufile. Apostle Grant began to speak of many demonic exchanges he had encountered throughout his years of deliverance ministry. He spoke of a famous singer whose friend’s cousin he encountered in an airport. She told him that her cousin had a close friend and that his father took his son to a witch to perform a ritual to steal the talent and bright future of her cousin. The ritual was done and now, the son of the man who did the ritual is famous and his friend is not. Not a single song of his has even been recorded and he knows no notoriety. He is the unsuspecting victim of a demonic exchange.

Apostle Grant spoke of this in other sermons and as I began to hear it more and more, I began to wonder, “Did this happen to me?” And God began to place other deliverance ministers in my path who taught on and prayed against this as well. And soon enough, it eventually became revealed that yes, this was done to me. I will not go into great detail, but earlier this week, I was telling a prophet of a dream I had back in February. In it, I was attending what was meant to be the wedding of a man I knew. The problem was, the bride never showed. And the next thing I know, I was swept from where I stood, thrown into the line of the bridal party, a bouquet was shoved in my hands, and I was walked to the altar to be married to him! The whole ceremony took place! I saw the groom, the officiate, and everything! The wedding decor was beautiful, but nothing I would have chosen. And WHY, for the love of all things holy and proper, was I wearing a WHITE gorgeous sequin mermaid gown to another woman’s wedding?!?! I woke up INCENSED by the dream!!!

As I told the prophet this, she said, “You should have known that that dream was an indication of a demonic exchange!” I didn’t know that then, but I know it now. This dream took place two weeks before my first deliverance session in March. And in my second session, a demonic matchmaking spirit (which I believe to be my EX-spirit-husband) was identified specifically by that title. I’ve had another dream that confirms this as well. Ohhhhhh, but I know a man named Jesus..!!! (Don’t worry, we WILL discuss freedom later in this post.)

I want you to understand that demonic exchanges happen. This is not a thing of the past or of the deep ancient world; it happens today. Maybe to someone you know. Maybe to a family member. Maybe even to you. But you don’t have to take my word for it. Let’s turn to Scripture.

DEMONIC EXCHANGE IN THE BIBLE

A Stolen Position

“I have seen servants on horses, While princes walk on the ground like servants.”

‭‭— Ecclesiastes‬ ‭10:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Some of you have been ordained to high positions in this life, high seats of power. These seats could be in government, entertainment, education, ministry, etc. But you’re struggling. You never get the interview. If you get the interview, the job falls through. If you get the job, you’re fired over a minor infraction. Character assassination could have ruined your chances to break into certain circles. An accident could have disfigured or paralyzed you to delay you or destroy your chances altogether.

Meanwhile, you see your enemies prosper. You see the wicked grow and advance. You see the deceitful gain favour with men. You see the less talented and lazy prosper while your diligence and artistry goes unnoticed. Your invention keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the pile while mediocre inventions secure the funding for production. Whatever the reason, you live your life in a position—financially, economically, professionally, and or socially—that you KNOW is not right and that you KNOW is not supposed to be your lot in life, yet you see no way out of it. You may be the victim of a demonic exchange. Princes were meant to rule; not servants.

A Stolen Blessing

Now Rebekah was listening when Isaac spoke to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt game and to bring it. So Rebekah spoke to Jacob her son, saying, “Indeed I heard your father speak to Esau your brother, saying, ‘Bring me game and make savory food for me, that I may eat it and bless you in the presence of the Lord before my death.’ Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to what I command you. Go now to the flock and bring me from there two choice kids of the goats, and I will make savory food from them for your father, such as he loves. Then you shall take it to your father, that he may eat it, and that he may bless you before his death.”

And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, “Look, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth-skinned man. Perhaps my father will feel me, and I shall seem to be a deceiver to him; and I shall bring a curse on myself and not a blessing.”

But his mother said to him, “Let your curse be on me, my son; only obey my voice, and go, get them for me.” And he went and got them and brought them to his mother, and his mother made savory food, such as his father loved. Then Rebekah took the choice clothes of her elder son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob her younger son. And she put the skins of the kids of the goats on his hands and on the smooth part of his neck. Then she gave the savory food and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob.

So he went to his father and said, “My father.”

And he said, “Here I am. Who are you, my son?”

Jacob said to his father, “I am Esau your firstborn; I have done just as you told me; please arise, sit and eat of my game, that your soul may bless me.”

But Isaac said to his son, “How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son?”

And he said, “Because the Lord your God brought it to me.”

Isaac said to Jacob, “Please come near, that I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esau or not.” So Jacob went near to Isaac his father, and he felt him and said, “The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.” And he did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy like his brother Esau’s hands; so he blessed him.

Then he said, “Are you really my son Esau?”

He said, “I am.”

He said, “Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s game, so that my soul may bless you.” So he brought it near to him, and he ate; and he brought him wine, and he drank. Then his father Isaac said to him, “Come near now and kiss me, my son.” And he came near and kissed him; and he smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him and said:

“Surely, the smell of my son

Is like the smell of a field

Which the Lord has blessed.

Therefore may God give you

Of the dew of heaven,

Of the fatness of the earth,

And plenty of grain and wine.

Let peoples serve you,

And nations bow down to you.

Be master over your brethren,

And let your mother’s sons bow down to you.

Cursed be everyone who curses you,

And blessed be those who bless you!”

Now it happened, as soon as Isaac had finished blessing Jacob, and Jacob had scarcely gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting. He also had made savory food, and brought it to his father, and said to his father, “Let my father arise and eat of his son’s game, that your soul may bless me.”

And his father Isaac said to him, “Who are you?”

So he said, “I am your son, your firstborn, Esau.”

Then Isaac trembled exceedingly, and said, “Who? Where is the one who hunted game and brought it to me? I ate all of it before you came, and I have blessed him—and indeed he shall be blessed.”

When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with an exceedingly great and bitter cry, and said to his father, “Bless me—me also, O my father!”

But he said, “Your brother came with deceit and has taken away your blessing.”

And Esau said, “Is he not rightly named Jacob? For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright, and now look, he has taken away my blessing!” And he said, “Have you not reserved a blessing for me?”

Then Isaac answered and said to Esau, “Indeed I have made him your master, and all his brethren I have given to him as servants; with grain and wine I have sustained him. What shall I do now for you, my son?” ‭‭— Genesis‬ ‭27:5-37‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We often like to focus on Esau’s willingness to give his birthright away over a pot of stew, yet we less often focus on the fact that Esau’s own mother engineered a demonic exchange so her favourite son would receive the father’s blessing instead of her firstborn. Remember, we have no proof that Rebecca was ever a godly woman. She was a Semitic Syrian, the niece of Abraham, and a pagan. Perhaps she thought, like her mother-in-law, Sarah, she would “help” God by making sure the prophecy of the twins’ birth and delivery would come to pass through natural means. Maybe she was in a place of spiritual compromise. (“I love Jehovah, but I love my household gods and pagan ways too.”) We don’t know. All we know is she intentionally coached her second-born to deceive his father and swindle him into giving Jacob the blessing. She was not content with Jacob having the birthright; she wanted him to have the blessing too. Isaac, being deceived by familiarity, ignored his misgivings, and bestowed the blessing on the wrong son. “Helping God” always ends up in a mess. Perhaps the Amalekites and thus, Haman—all descended from Esau—would not have become the hateful fiends to Jews they became had their forefather not had his destiny demonically swiped from him by the man who would become Israel.

A Stolen Child

Now two women who were harlots came to the king, and stood before him. And one woman said, “O my Lord, this woman and I dwell in the same house; and I gave birth while she was in the house. Then it happened, the third day after I had given birth, that this woman also gave birth. And we were together; no one was with us in the house, except the two of us in the house. And this woman’s son died in the night, because she lay on him. So she arose in the middle of the night and took my son from my side, while your maidservant slept, and laid him in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom. And when I rose in the morning to nurse my son, there he was, dead. But when I had examined him in the morning, indeed, he was not my son whom I had borne.” ‭‭— I Kings‬ ‭3:16-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This was an evil deed indeed. As the two women slept, one accidentally smothered her baby, but swapped her “friend’s” living child with her dead child. Now this swapping woman was hateful and inhumane in that, as the story goes on to say, she was willing to let the other woman’s baby be killed too so they would both be in misery instead of just her. But isn’t that just like a witch or jealous person? Bring you down so your head will never be lifted above theirs, so your horn will never be exalted because theirs was broken? EVIL.

Demonic exchanges are very real and employed frequently in a variety of ways to steal, kill, and destroy the joy, the happiness, the peace, and everything belonging to good and godly people.

BUT THERE IS FREEDOM!!!

Now that we have broken down demonic exchanges, it is time to discuss divine reversal.

Magick5.jpg

DIVINE REVERSAL

A divine reversal is when God reverses the demonic exchange that has taken place. Satanic foundations are destroyed. Evil altars are undone. Demonic embargos are lifted. There is a full 180 degree turnaround! And this is not just something that sounds good, it’s Bible!

“To comfort all who mourn,

To console those who mourn in Zion,

To give them beauty for ashes,

The oil of joy for mourning,

The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;

That they may be called trees of righteousness,

The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

And they shall rebuild the old ruins,

They shall raise up the former desolations,

And they shall repair the ruined cities,

The desolations of many generations.

Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks,

And the sons of the foreigner

Shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

But you shall be named the priests of the Lord,

They shall call you the servants of our God.

You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles,

And in their glory you shall boast.

Instead of your shame you shall have double honor,

And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion.

Therefore in their land they shall possess double;

Everlasting joy shall be theirs.

“For I, the Lord, love justice…”

— Isaiah 61:3-8 NKJV

Isaiah 61 is a chapter that is CHOCKED FULL of the vindication of the Lord! Yet I love these verses that highlight divine reversals of demonic exchanges!

The enemy gave mourning, but the Lord gives consolation.

The enemy gave ashes, but the Lord gives beauty.

The enemy gave mourning, but the Lord gives joy.

The enemy gave heaviness (depression), but the Lord gives praise.

The enemy gave instability, but the Lord gives stability.

The enemy gave ruination and desolation, but the Lord gives restoration and reparation.

The enemy gave shame, but the Lord gives double honour.

The enemy gave confusion, but the Lord gives rejoicing.

The enemy gave injustice, but the Lord gives justice!

“I will go before you

And make the crooked places straight;

I will break in pieces the gates of bronze

And cut the bars of iron.

I will give you the treasures of darkness

And hidden riches of secret places,

That you may know that I, the Lord,

Who call you by your name,

Am the God of Israel.”

— Isaiah 45:2-3 NKJV

Your path was crooked, but the reversal makes it straight! There were blockades, but the reversal eradicates them! Your treasures were stolen, but the reversal restores them!

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. — Galatians 3:13-14 NKJV

I’ll have to do a separate post on the Courts of Heaven, but suffice it to say that as sons of God—a concept, not a gender—we have the right to not only come boldly before the Throne of Grace, but to be pardoned from every legally binding ritual that was performed by us or against us.

Most Christians think that simply being the child of the Righteous Judge automatically handles the charges the enemy has pending against them, but that is simply not true. Yes, you will go to Heaven. But if you don’t show up in your Heavenly Father’s Courtroom, then you are not present to plead your case, and by default, the enemy is allowed to win that case.

But you DO NOT have to accept the exchanges of the enemy. You have a divine right to have your Daddy reverse and overturn the ruling in your favour!

SEASON OF VINDICATION

I believe this is the season we are living in RIGHT NOW! I have been proclaiming the coming season of vindication since Fall 2020, and I believe we are in it NOW. I believe this is also why deliverance is breaking out left and right. Many of you will not receive the vindication before the deliverance is completed.

As Apostle Alexander Pagani says, “Deliverance is not spiritual; it’s legal.” Power without authority is illegal. This means that the demonic exchanges that have taken place were illegal in the realm of the spirit. Yet if you are a Believer, you have been entrusted with authority over ALL the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19), and if you properly utilize that authority, you can have the Judge of the Universe overturn every illegal exchange in your favour in the name of Jesus!

Whenever a Believer goes to war, we war from a position of victory. When we recognize that we are not only sons of God, but seated IN Christ IN heavenly places at the right hand of the Father, then we can also recognize that we are seated IN the One who is the head of all principalities, powers, and hosts of wickedness.

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. — Colossians 2:9-10

Christ is also the Creator of all principalities, powers, and spiritual hosts. And if He created them, then He is most capable of disarming them.

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. — Colossians 1:16

And Christ is not just the Creator and Head of all powers. He disarms demonic powers. But he is not just the only One capable of disarming demonic powers, He takes it to the point of HUMILIATING the enemy on our behalf!

Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. — Colossians 2:15

And not only is Christ the Head of all demonic powers, not only has He disarmed the demonic powers, not only has He humiliated all demonic powers, but he has come to destroy all of their works!

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. — 1 John 3:8

This means what we are not only set free, but ridiculously compensated for the demonic exchange(s) we had to endure! The devil tried it. But in the name of Jesus, he will NOT succeed!
