The Spirit of Truth: God Will NEVER Contradict Himself

The Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, will never lead you astray from the Word of God. The Spirit of God is in concert with the Son of God--Who is the Word of God--and the Son and Word of God is in concert with Father-God. They are one. Not one of Them is independent of the Other. Jesus demonstrated this example for us in His earthly ministry.

"For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak." (John 12:49-50)
"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves." (John 14:10-11)
"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you." (John 16:13-15)

The Spirit of God literally cannot contradict the Word of God because He inspired, penned if you will--through vessels of humanity, the written Word of God.

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." (II Timothy 3:16-17)

As aforementioned, the Word of God is the Son of God.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:1-2, 14)

The Three are one.

"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!" (Deuteronomy 6:4)
“...In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...” (Matthew 28:19)

The Spirit nor the Son of God will never contradict the Word of God which proceeds from the mouth of Father-God.

But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:4)
"Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error." (I John 3:24-4:6)

Therefore, if a spirit comes to you claiming to be God the Father, the Son, or the Spirit, yet its words in any way contradict the Word/Son of God, then that spirit is not from God. Any person that comes to you claiming to be of God will not contradict the Word of God in preaching, teaching, or character. (This does not mean they are infallible and do not sin, but there is a distinct difference between falling into sin and repenting, and living a lifestyle of unrepentant sin.) If you entertain the words of a spirit not from God--either in the flesh or the spirit--you open the door to the spirit of error and deception.

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works." (II Corinthians 11:13-15)

And who is it that perpetuates these doctrines of devils? It is the Spirit of Jezebel. That is her forte.

"Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.' (Revelation 2:20)

We must view EVERYTHING: every thought, and every message, every spirit through the lens of the Word of God. Anything that doesn't line up, we must throw out. It is mistaken at best, demonically-inspired at worst.

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled." (II Corinthians 10:4-6)

The Spirit of God, the HOLY Spirit--meaning He is untainted and unmixed with anything that is not like God--will never lead you astray from the Word of God. He will never lead you astray from the Godhead. He is the Spirit of Truth and cannot lie.

"Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar." (Romans 3:4)

Finally, the Spirit of God ushers in peace, not fear and all of its symptoms: anxiety, worry, doubt, double-mindedness, and torment. In fact, the love of God casts out these harmful spirits.

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (II Timothy 1:7)
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love." (I John 4:18)

And we know that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty and not bondage.

"Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." (II Corinthians 3:17)
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound..." (Isaiah 61:1)

Do not allow any spirit not like God, or any person hosting or speaking on behalf of a spirit not like God (intentionally or unintentionally), to sway your stance on God's Word. We must be on our guard against spiritual deception. We are ALL susceptible. The moment we think we are not, we have already become deceived.
