Are You an Accuser of the Brethren?
So I recently had an unfortunate run-in with a blogger. He sent me a notification through my Facebook Page that one of my articles had been used in his post. I glanced at that post which contained a video, looked through the citations and didn’t see my name or website anywhere, so didn’t bother. Just told him thanks and God bless, and went on my merry way. But then he asked me what I actually thought of the post so for whatever reason, I took precious time and watched his video. O...M...G..!! The video which I will NOT share here because I don’t want to make this young man relevant and more importantly, don’t want to share in his sin, was chocked full of headlines of the deaths of saints. Sure it had some “ain’ts” in the mix too, but for the most part, the ones I knew of, were hardcore, sold out believers. Names such as Dave Wilkerson, Myles Munroe, John Paul Jackson, Steve Hill, just to name a few. I was horrified and a righteous indignation rose up in me! But I wasn’t sure if this young man had a vendetta against Christian ministers or if he was just misguided, but I laid the truth out for him line by line, precept by precept. I left no stone unturned. This was my response to his post.

I just watched your video and I'll address some items one at a time. First, I didn't see where there were any references to my content so I'm not sure why you sent this notification unless you just really wanted me to watch it, get my opinion, etc.
Second, the overarching issue I take with this video and your website is the utter lack of balance and understanding. You're mixing the good with the bad, the wheat with the tares. By creating this video, you've managed to slander SEVERAL authentic men of God simply because they died a death that wasn't natural. This is unscriptural which leads me to my next point.
Third, the summation you make is that because someone dies a sad death, that it is automatically, always because they were unrepentant sinners. That is simply not true. There are absolutely those who die as a judgement of God or as a result of stepping out from under His protection through rebellion in some area or many areas. There are also those who die simply because they made a mistake. Not a sin, but a mistake (i.e. taking a plane in bad flying conditions). They didn't sin, they simply made an unwise decision that they paid dearly for. There are also those who die simply because we live in a fallen world and there are evil people and evil occurrences in the world. Yet you lump all of them together without considering Scripture.
In essence, this is what Job's accusers said to him. They postulated that he had sinned in some fashion which was why he was being attacked, never dreaming that God was actually bragging on Job. They also did not take into context the "double" that he would get for his trouble. David in the Psalms and Solomon in the Proverbs wrestled with why the righteous struggle, but they wicked live long and well. It perplexed them because religion gives you a formula. The problem is, God is not a God of algebraic formulas. He's sovereign and as such, does and allows what He pleases and requires faith and obedience from us in the process. This doesn't jive well with religious mindsets. This is why religion is the enemy of God. It wants a God it can figure out, manipulate, and control. But if that was who and what God was, then He wouldn't be God because the very nature of God is unsearchable, unfathomable.
The Bible shows us that all of the original apostles - save John the Beloved - died gruesome deaths. Were they unrepentant sinners? Many of the prophets died gruesome deaths. Were they unrepentant sinners? Jezebel hunted down many prophets in her day beside Elijah and the 100 that Obadiah (the servant, not the prophet) hid in 2 caves. Were they unrepentant sinners? The Prophet Elisha got sick and died. Was he an unrepentant sinner? Christians are slaughtered in Muslim countries and persecuted unto death in Communist countries. Were they, are they, unrepentant sinners? Jesus, the very and only Son of God, died the most gruesome death possible under the Roman Empire. Was He an unrepentant sinner? Of course the answer to all of these questions is no.
You are mixing the wheat with the tares and in doing so, you become guilty of grave sin yourself in being a voice of the Accuser of the Brethren. Based on your website content, you appear to have a "ministry of exposés." The problem with that is you can't find that ministry anywhere in Scripture. Yes, apostles and prophets expose false teachers, but they do it in balance, maturity, and understanding; it's not all they do. Jesus didn't *just* call out the Pharisees; He did other works too. Elijah and Elisha didn't *just* confront Jezebel; they did other works too. And the danger with doing nothing but calling out "false teachers" is that more than likely, you begin to operate in the very spirit you accuse them of: the false prophetic; accusing the brethren. This is very dangerous because, like with the Salem Witch Trials, those who go a' hunting witches very often begin to operate in witchcraft through their false accusations.

I know you more than likely will not like this message and that is fine. But if you have a true call of God on your life, especially to the prophetic, I would highly encourage you to sit under and listen to biblically sound, balanced ministries where the apostolic and prophetic goes forth so you can truly understand how biblical prophetic ministry operates and what its true function in the Body of Christ and local church is. Turn to the Gospels and the epistles to see how the apostles and prophets did function and are called to function. Read Ephesians 4 about the Fivefold ministry. Read about the nine ministry gifts.

Needless to say, the young man did not agree and chose to post our ENTIRE conversation on his website complete with his response.
#1: I’m SO happy I stayed in the spirit and not the flesh when I responded to this young man. He could have exposed me and made me look REALLY bad if I’d responded in the flesh. I’m not saying it was easy because it absolutely was not, yet it was worth it because the biblical truth I laid bare for him is something that now, many people will be able to see, read, and hopefully, glean from. Which leads me to my next point.
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God. (I Corinthians 4:5)
And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. (Hebrews 4:13)
#2: It is the trait of an untrustworthy “journalist” to try and trap people and share things they never asked or received permission to share in a public setting. He literally laid a trap for me, a snare by which to catch my feet. BUT GOD. God’s got my back and I’ve taken this as an opportunity to let the truth defend itself and share that same truth with you all.
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler… (Psalm 91:3)
Those also who seek my life lay snares for me;
Those who seek my hurt speak of destruction,
And plan deception all the day long.
(Psalm 38:12)
The wicked have laid a snare for me, Yet I have not strayed from Your precepts. (Psalm 119:110)
#3: I obviously won’t be playing with this young man anymore because the Bible says when people reject you, reject your ministry, to shake the dust from your feet and move on with your assignment. (Also, see point #2.)
“And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.” (Matthew 10:14)
“And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them.” (Luke 9:5)
THE ACCUSER OF THE BRETHREN
I talk about this topic in my post “When Jezebel’s Wounded Become Jezebel’s Prophets,” but the accusation of the brethren is a serious offense. When people bear false testimony against Believers like the sons of Belial did to Naboth before Jezebel took his vineyard, when people make untrue accusations like the Pharisees arrange in their illegal trial against Jesus, when they set you up and hunt you down like Paul did when he was still the murderous Saul, that is a very dangerous place to be. Jesus Himself confronted Saul asking, “Why are you persecuting me?” Saul never dreamed for a moment that his persecutions of those he did not consider Believers, of those he considered in error, were actually persecutions against the Son of God! And yet, that’s precisely what he was doing.
Satan
The Bible tells us the Lucifer is the accuser of the brethren.
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. (Revelation 12:10)
And in case you don’t believe me, allow me to point you to the Book of Job.
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?”
So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!” (Job 1:6-11)
Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?”

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.”
So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. But stretch out Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will surely curse You to Your face!” (Job 2:1-5)
Job’s friends gave voice to the enemy when they accused him of wrongdoing, but God Almighty called Job “blameless” and stated that the accuser, “incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.” Satan KNOWS who the innocent are, yet will attempt to lay traps and slander them anyway. And we see this also in the nature of Jezebel.
Jezebel || Sons of Belial
When Jezzy’s jelly-backed husband wanted a vineyard he couldn’t legally get his hands on, Jezebel said, “I got this, boo,” wrote accusatory letters about Naboth, and incited the sons of Belial to stone the righteous man to death. See for yourself.
And it came to pass after these things that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard which was in Jezreel, next to the palace of Ahab king of Samaria. So Ahab spoke to Naboth, saying, “Give me your vineyard, that I may have it for a vegetable garden, because it is near, next to my house; and for it I will give you a vineyard better than it. Or, if it seems good to you, I will give you its worth in money.”
But Naboth said to Ahab, “The Lord forbid that I should give the inheritance of my fathers to you!”
So Ahab went into his house sullen and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him; for he had said, “I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” And he lay down on his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no food. But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said to him, “Why is your spirit so sullen that you eat no food?”
He said to her, “Because I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite, and said to him, ‘Give me your vineyard for money; or else, if it pleases you, I will give you another vineyard for it.’ And he answered, ‘I will not give you my vineyard.’”
Then Jezebel his wife said to him, “You now exercise authority over Israel! Arise, eat food, and let your heart be cheerful; I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.”
And she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters to the elders and the nobles who were dwelling in the city with Naboth. She wrote in the letters, saying,
Proclaim a fast, and seat Naboth with high honor among the people; and seat two men, scoundrels, before him to bear witness against him, saying, “You have blasphemed God and the king.” Then take him out, and stone him, that he may die.
So the men of his city, the elders and nobles who were inhabitants of his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them. They proclaimed a fast, and seated Naboth with high honor among the people. And two men, scoundrels, came in and sat before him; and the scoundrels witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, “Naboth has blasphemed God and the king!” Then they took him outside the city and stoned him with stones, so that he died. Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, “Naboth has been stoned and is dead.”
And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, “Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give you for money; for Naboth is not alive, but dead.” So it was, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab got up and went down to take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. (I Kings 21:1-16)
The domain of Jezebel includes giving voice to the accuser of the brethren. Just as the Spirit of God can manifest in the Spirit of Elijah or the Spirit of Deborah, so the spirit of Satan can manifest as the Spirit of Jezebel; same spirit, different manifestations. And this is a particularly strong manifestation - accusing the brethren - because Jezebel is a false prophet and a witch, therefore her words carry special power usually paired with a position or influence on someone who has a position who can execute judgment against the accused.
Pharisees
The pharisaical spirit - a manifestation of the Spirit of Religion - also gives voice to the accuser of the brethren. By the Word, we know that they made it their business to accuses God’s son and the godly.
Then the whole multitude of them arose and led [Jesus] to Pilate. And they began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ, a King.” (Luke 23:1-2 emphasis mine)
Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. (John 8:2-6)
And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people. Then there arose some from what is called the Synagogue of the Freedmen (Cyrenians, Alexandrians, and those from Cilicia and Asia), disputing with Stephen. And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke. Then they secretly induced men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.” And they stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes; and they came upon him, seized him, and brought him to the council. They also set up false witnesses who said, “This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this holy place and the law; for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs which Moses delivered to us.” And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel. (Acts 6:8-15)
It was very literally the pride and joy of the Pharisees to accuse Jesus and His followers of wrongdoing - whether it was true or not.
Job’s Friends
These “friends” too were well-meaning, well-intentioned, but well-erroneous!! Just read what Eliphaz (with his young, unseasoned self) was saying to Job here and here! From our earlier passage we could see that God Himself called Job blameless and someone who holds fast to his integrity.
There are many who are well-intentioned or downright evil who will speak against God’s anointed and consider themselves well within their rights, but the only place they solidly are when they do that is well within Satan’s council!! It is only those who are or act ungodly who speak against the godly. It is only those who are evil or act evil who unjustly accuse the godly. It is only the unwise who open their mouth to speak against God’s anointed, but that is a dangerous place to be! My Bible says:
Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. (Psalm 105:15 KJV)
No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.
(Isaiah 54:17)
We must be SO careful the words we speak because we DO NOT want to give voice to the accuser in our lives and accuse those who are living and have lived for God. Look to yourself!
