5 Types of Toxic People
This was my first contributing piece for Gospel Today on a matter that was quite pressing in my own life at the time and I think many of you will be able to relate to at one point or another: toxic people. We all know at least one, but how do you recognize them and how do you deal with them? This article will tell you.
Toxic people are everywhere: in our homes, churches, jobs, and more. And although they may parade as loved ones and spiritual advisors, they are absolutely detrimental to your well-being. They must be identified so they can be dealt with accordingly.
Those of Ill Repute
David said, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful,” (Psalms 1:1). Unless you’re ministering to these people, you have no business hanging out with them. Doing so will only associate you with their bad habits.
Those Who do not Believe in You
Joseph was surrounded by brothers who despised him and refused to believe in his God-given dreams. However, Joseph would one day become their salvation. Yet, without a separation, he would never have been exalted. Your destiny is dependent upon your separation from toxic people.
