As promised, here is Apostle Ivory Hopkins’ teaching on Voodoo and Hoodoo. Oh boy is it phenomenal! Apostle Hopkins is such a treasure trove of godly, spiritual wisdom! We’ve already learned what Voodoo is in my recent Cults & Deliverance post. Now, we’ll learn how to discern it and cast those devils out.
Below is a phenomenal interview that Apostle Hopkins had on Omega Man Radio with host, Shannon Ray Davis.
"Infiltration of the Church by Root Workers and Hoodoo"
I’m also sharing Apostle’s two-part teaching entitled, “Deliverance from Spells, Spiritual Bathes and Witchcraft.” In it, he makes an excellent point: we can’t always play the blame-game (fully); sometimes we have to look to ourselves.
“The one thing that I would start with if witchcraft is operating in your life, I would start with the stronghold of rebellion either or in you or your family line…. Lots of people talk about what’s been worked against them… [but] many forms of witchcraft and curses can only work if there’s something in you that it can attach itself to.”
He goes on to say,
“Something is seriously wrong and you haven’t figured it out yet when you are always fighting witchcraft. You don’t never have a peaceful moment…. When you find a person who is constantly being attacked by witchcraft on a constant basis, almost daily, that individual has a portal or a gate open in their life that has not been shut down. And either or it’s been opened through rebellion in their life that taps into witchcraft that’s in their family line or the lack of knowledge that they have so they don’t know how to back the stuff off of them.”
And Scripture backs these statements.
Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, So a curse without cause shall not alight. (Proverbs 26:2)
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
(I Samuel 15:23)
