Feb 14 HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

Valentine's Day and I have almost always had a love-hate relationship. This V Day in particular. This V Day started off as the most wonderful V Day EVER and then crashed and burned, but over the past 24 hours, it seemed to calibrate and now I'm decently joyous, even if I'm not the happiest. But enough about me. To cheer us all up and keep y'all happy who are already happy, I want to share my favourite poem which is doubly wonderful since it's also quoted and refered to frequently in one of my favourite movies: Sense and Sensibility based on the book of the same title by Jane Austen. (How could I not love this poem!) So without further ado, I give you Sonnet 116 by William Shakespeare!

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no; it is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests, and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

"Love is an ever-fixed mark" *sigh* How can you NOT fall in love with someone (or something) upon hearing those words? Or how could you resist falling in love with someone you already love all over again? If you haven't guessed it already, I am a hopeless romantic. I may be a fighter, by my fight comes from being a lover as well. Because anything worth loving is worth fighting for.
