In the prophetic, what you accept is what you become. When you accept a diviner's fee, you will eventually act like a diviner. And this is precisely what happened to Balaam. He allowed greed to sway him from Truth which is a Spirit and even though in the Book of Numbers we see him prophesy accurately by the Spirit of God over the Children of Israel and still preach his words to this day he still died a diviner's death.
This will be the year of bloody battles. The sword of the Lord is being drawn to sever and cut away things that have had a grip on the lives of God’s people to frustrate their purpose and prevent progress. We will say goodbye to many things of the past as the Spirit of God resets us into new beginnings. Loses will yield us gains as we die to our flesh to receive a release of greater power and abundant living. I heard the Spirit of God say, “If we do not die to our fleshly appetites in this hour, those very things will be what the enemy uses to kill us.”
When I was driving to Orlando for Christmas, I heard the Lord say, “Next.” I started meditating on that word “next.” I looked it up on the dictionary. In other words, I pressed into what the Lord ways saying. The Lord showed me next level assignments, next level warfare and next level blessings. Our cry this year is going to be, “Next!”
Yesterday was the Inauguration of the 45th President of the United States of America: Donald J. Trump. Now he and Melania Trump are stepping into roles that they have never occupied before and I pray they will do the office dignity, if not for themselves, then for the legacy of America. And at the same time, we see the former POTUS and FLOTUS of the past eight years, Barack Hussein Obama and Michelle LaVaughn Obama, exit the roles they have occupied for the past two terms. I have mixed feelings about this.
I was scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed when I saw one of my friends post about the movie Hidden Figures. No surprise there. I’m super excited about seeing it myself! I’ve known about this movie for months and was uber excited from the moment I saw the trailer and heard Pharrell singing. “Don’t you know that we’re able?!” But this morning at almost 6am, the words “hidden figures” jumped out at me in a way they never had before.
Since 1999, the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders has gathered some of the most respected prophetic voices from around the nation to pray and seek the Lord for a word for the next year.
Each year I, like many other prophetic people, take time to listen to the Voice of God specifically to hear what His heart is for a new year, or a new season. I believe the purpose of this is to gain an understanding of God’s heart and purpose so that we can properly position ourselves in prayer and in perspective, standing ready to work with Him to bring the Kingdom of God to earth. In this Hebrew year 5777, it is a year of covenant blessing, a year of contending for favor and a year of new spiritual wells of refreshing springing forth. The symbol for 7 in Hebrew resembles a sword, or a vav (that which connects heaven and earth) with a crown on top of it. This is a crowned Year of God’s goodness….our paths will drip with abundance!
The original title of this word by Apostle Eckhardt is “Reset & Resetters.” If you’ve been following Apostle on social media for the past few months, then you know that he has been speaking on “reset” for a while. So when this word for the year popped up in my Youtube feed last night, I knew I had to share it in this series. Apostle Eckhardt is such a sweet, father in the spirit; he truly has the Father’s heart. And he’ll always hold a special place in my heart since he shared an article of mine and boosted my traffic a while back when I was under a major Twitter attack from a well-known minister’s watchdog. (And if you’ve ever been under serious Twitter attack, then you know how intense that can be!) So without further ado, I give you Apostle John Eckhardt’s Word of the Lord for 2017!
I started giving the Word of the Lord for the year in 1988. It was originally intended for Christian International Ministers. However, in the late 1990s, Cindy Jacobs and I and several others started the International Round Table of Prophets. After that we started giving a more corporate word. The word I am sharing from Christ’s letter to the Philadelphia Church, of us being granted an “Open Door” that no man or demon can shut, is directed mainly to those who have ears to hear what Christ is saying to His Church, who are walking in all presently restored truth and have volunteered to be a warrior in God’s newly activated, offensive and powerful army called “God’s World War III.”
Y’all know what time it is! That’s right! It’s time for the Word of the Lord for 2017 from the prophets, starting with my spiritual father, Apostle Guillermo Maldonado!
When I first heard the news about the passing of Prophet Kim Clement, I sitting at my laptop working. At 6:03am, I called into my prayerline and while looking at my phone, I noticed an email from the House of Destiny (Kim’s online church that I was a “member” of) sent at 5:53am entitled, “The Sad News of Kim’s Passing” and my face went dumb - I couldn’t process the words, and clicked the email thinking it was some sort of mistake. But it wasn’t.
As promised, here is Apostle Ivory Hopkins’ teaching on Voodoo and Hoodoo. Oh boy is it phenomenal! Apostle Hopkins is such a treasure trove of godly, spiritual wisdom! We’ve already learned what Voodoo is in my recent Cults & Deliverance post. Now, we’ll learn how to discern it and cast those devils out.
I’ve been wanting to post some documentaries about Voodoo for some time. Voodoo, Santeria, Obeah, Hoodoo, Rootworking, Mojo, etc., outside of some ancillary differences, at their core, they’re the same. It’s just a question of the people group and the preferred mask of choice. Why would I want to do a post on Voodoo? Because it is prevalent. Prevalent and followed by poverty, death, and destruction. Voodoo very literally deceives people, then drags them to Hell.
You were purposefully fashioned with a specific calling and a specific gifting to reach a specific people at a specific time.
“Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.” (Proverbs 29:18)
I’m at it again: tackling that ugly stronghold of racism in America. Exposing that stronghold that many are happy to ignore. Uncovering the systems that most unfortunately helped shape this nation. And dealing with that which the traditions of man use to make the Word of God of no effect.
This post contains a simple thesis, therefore I will not belabour the point by going on for 12 pages like I did in my last post. We’ve heard Donald J. Trump be accused of racism, of sexism, of mocking disabled people, of just being generally, well, vile in his descriptions of ideas, and we’ve heard him make comments that sound suspiciously fascist. But is that really who Trump is?
Okay, so I just watched Selma for the first time. (Yes, I know, I’m late. Please don’t chide me. Better late than never.) And this on the heels of recently watching the Book of Negroes Series, and Underground Series (the latter produced by Grammy award-winning singer and genius, John Legend), and it has me thinking.

I know the event was planned as an informational event during this current Blogpreneur 101 campaign, but it also served to be very inspiring and encouraging to me.
